LWVBC members know how essential it is that we preserve Florida’s precious land and water resources for future generations. This summer and fall, League members can make a difference by volunteering to collect 20 petitions from friends and family in support of the effort to get the Florida’s Water and Land Legacy Amendment onto the 2014 ballot.
The League of Women Voters of Florida voted at its recent convention to endorse the proposed amendment and local Leagues, along with many other organizations, are taking part in the petition drive across the state. To learn more about the campaign, please click here.

The League of Women Voters of Florida has released its recommendations for reforming Florida’s election laws. In a letter sent to Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner on January 11, 2013, President Deirdre Macnab said, “It is imperative that we put Florida’s election meltdowns behind us once and for all.”
