The League of Women Voters is excited to celebrate our 93rd anniversary! Since our founding on February 14, 1920, the League has worked tirelessly to protect and uphold the constitutional right to vote, a right that composes the very foundation of our democracy.
The League of Women Voters of Broward County is one of nearly 800 Leagues in all 50 states. We respect all points of view, and never support or oppose candidates for office, or political parties.

The League of Women Voters of Florida has released its recommendations for reforming Florida’s election laws. In a letter sent to Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner on January 11, 2013, President Deirdre Macnab said, “It is imperative that we put Florida’s election meltdowns behind us once and for all.”
